Experience 10,000 Years Of History With The New ‘Story Of The Irish’ Exhibition

seank

The new ‘Story Of The Irish‘ exhibition at Smithfield will bring visitors to our fair city on a tour of Ireland’s history spanning 10,000 years.

Having opened just last Thursday, the exhibition is the latest tourist attraction to come to Ireland.

The brainchild of former lecturer Frank Fitzpatrick, the exhibition features live theatrical performances, digital multimedia and special effects, where actors guide their audience through our nation’s colourful past.

Comprised of six scenes, the exhibition moves from our beginnings 10,000 years ago to our periods of mysticism and the arrival of the Celts, to the Famine and our struggles against British rule, before bringing us right up to the present day.

With the capacity to host 500,000 visitors a year, it’s hoped that the exhibition will give Dublin tourism a much appreciated boost.

If you want to bring visiting friends to the exhibition, or if you’d like to immerse yourself in our country’s history, you can find the exhibition in Smithfield. To book your tickets or for more info, click here.
