Bad News Folks – Two Dublin Food Businesses Have Been Shut Down by the Food Safety Authority

seank

Some of you may be in for some bad news, with the announcement that two Dublin food businesses were closed down by the Food Safety Authority in June due to unacceptable breaches of health and safety.

The two Dublin-based offenders that were closed were D Limit African & European Restaurant on Ballybough Road and Pearl River Takeaway on Phibsborough Road, while Cumiskey’s Pub on Blackhorse Avenue was issued a prohibition order.

Dr. Pamela Byrne,
Chief Executive, FSAI said the closures came from a lack of vigilance in
relation to food safety. She said:

Unfortunately, inspection officers encounter negligent food safety practices and non-compliance with food legislation. However, there can be no justification for these breaches, which can endanger consumers’ health and undermine the confidence they should expect to have in the safety of the food they eat.”

If any of these places are your culinary stomping grounds, you have our sympathies!
