Rozanna Purcell’s Dublin Diary

emmakenneally

I always find that the best way to discover new places to eat is by asking other people their favourite spots in the city. I caught up with Roz Purcell earlier this week to hear where her favourite places to eat were. As well as being Ireland’s top model, Roz is fast becoming well known for her food blogging, so it’s safe to say she knows all about good food. She has some gems on her list and despite being a clean eating advocate, she also shared with us where to get the best cheesecake in the city… Result!

So Roz, what’s your favourite café in Dublin?

I loves Balfes café for a coffee and the chill out atmosphere.

Balfes

Where is the best place for lunch in Dublin?

I love Staple Foods for lunch, I always get the Middle Eastern Chicken Salad with quinoa tabbouleh.

Me too, I love Staple Foods. Where is your favourite place for dinner?

The Marker is really, really good. I usually order whatever the specials are and they do a really nice, clean, healthy menu.

The-Marker

What pub in Dublin will we find you in at the weekends?

I actually don’t really go out to pubs in Dublin. I tend to go out to pubs more around the country, I like Pat Cohen’s in Cong.

What would your perfect day in Dublin be if you had the day off and nothing to do?

My favourite day is Sunday because I’ll get up whatever time I want knowing I don’t have an alarm set. I’ll go to brunch and because it’s Sunday I’ll just eat whatever I want. It’s my day off from everything. It’s my time to catch up with friends who I haven’t had time to hang around with during the week. It’s my cheat day of the week where I indulge in the things I’ve been thinking about all week!

Where do you go for brunch?

San Lorenzo’s. Their nutella cheesecake is absolutely mind blowing- my mouth is just watering thinking about it.

San-Lorenzos

You’re well known for you healthy food blog. If we wanted to start eating clean what is the one recipe we would have to try?

The sinless raw, vegan Banoffee Pie.

Thanks Roz, we’re going to be busy all weekend checking out your recommendations!
