7 Of The Best Spots In Dublin To Try Out Yoga For The First Time

katedemolder

Keen to do your body and mind some good? Yeah you are, you big sound thing.

Here are some of our favourite spots to stretch and get a little limber, all of which are absolutely perfect for people at the very start of their journey. Your body will thank you for it later, we promise.

Namaste.

1. YogaHub

This Camden Street haunt is as filled with love as it is with classes – with a new one almost every hour some days.

The teachers here are fantastic and are super encouraging with their students, so yoga newbies will be surrounded by experience but feel right at home all at the same time.

2. Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is a really beautiful space with dedicated and experienced teachers, and a nice welcoming community.

Tucked away on Cumberland Street (around the corner from The Gingerman), this studio offers a bright sanctuary in an otherwise busy area.

3. The elbowroom

One of the nicest places to get your stretching on and simmer down after a long day of sitting down, located a (Cobble)stone’s throw away from Smithfield Square.

Kids also get a chance to get involved here too – as they do baby yoga with new mums. No better time to finally give it a go!

4. Samadhi

Samadhi is a peaceful oasis for yoga, right in the heart of the city. The classes are pretty reasonable (usually €12-15) and are available for all levels.

Their lunch time classes, however, are just a tenner, and are just the ticket for avoiding the 3pm slump.

5. Dublin Holistic Centre

Located on South William Street, the Dublin Holistic Centre is a hub for mindfulness in general. The workspace is warm and comfortable, and the instructors are super cool.

They do massage and reflexology sessions day in, day out – and trust us, you’re in the hands of utter professionals in this spot.

6. Mywellbeing.ie

This place is almost specifically geared towards newbies – they’re super sweet and make you feel totally as ease.

Also it’s central, has shorter classes for those of you who don’t quite feel ready to commit to an hour-long sesh, and has the loveliest instructors in the whole wide world.

7. Yoga Dublin

If you’ve been a bit nervous about finally dipping your toe into this wonderful new world, the gorgeous garden of their Ranelagh studio on Dartmouth Road will instantly make you feel at home.

A journey that feels all the more positive once you meet those super instructors – and with studios both here and in Dundrum, you’re pretty much covered right across the whole south of the city.
