Has the first week back to work left you wanting to hide under your duvet and make your mammy stroke your hair? You're not alone, our comfort-seeking friends.

Apparently nothing beats the January blues like a good ol' fashioned cuddle, as the folk over at Irish Cuddle Salon are hosting their first 2017 Cuddle Party in Bray on Sunday, January 15.

The only sliiiiight thing to mention is that you'll be cuddling with people you've probably never met before (unless you're a cuddle party regular, in which case, kudos you serial snuggler).

According to the group's Facebook event,

For those who are touch-deprived, attending a cuddle event can be a powerful healing session... Whether you're a beginner in the world of cuddles or you're a connoisseur, you are invited to relax in a warm, safe, and empowering experience with your brothers and sisters. Join in as we share kindness, compassion, and connection through touch.

Certainly sounds like one of the more interesting ways to spend a dreary Sunday.

Tickets are €20-€25 and are limited to 20 people so snap yours up before some other hug-hustler does. Participating cuddlers are required to wear loose and comfortable clothing, and are asked to remember to "think comfy, not sexy".

Oh, and you also have to bring "your open heart and be prepared for the open hearts of others!"

See you there?
