So, Is Summer Over Already? Here's Met Eireann's Weather Forecast For The Week

Let's just say it's about as decisive as your mates when they're trying to agree on a restaurant

Stormy weather

Looks like we're in for a mixed bag of a week, with Met Eireann predicting sunny spells and scattered showers across the country for the week.

Today there will be some sun but it will be mostly cloudy with plenty of showery outbreaks, while tonight will be mild with temperatures of about 12 to 14 degrees.

Tuesday will have similar to today. Wednesday will be pick up a bit, it should be mostly sunny and dry apart from some isolated showers.

On Thursday, you'll be lulled into a false sense of security with a sunny start only for it to turn overcast and drizzly, while on Friday it will be warm with temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees in fresh southerly winds.

At the weekend, there will be warm sunny spells with scattered showers in a westerly airflow. But that's a long way off yet – and with the weather being so all over the place, you're probably better off not planning any BBQs.

Sorry guys.
