We’ve never been shy about our ambition to take Lovin Dublin global – and today, we’re super-excited to spread our Lovin wings out across the continent (and down south a little) to the beautiful city of Dubai!
We’re proud to announce: lovindubai.com
Why Dubai?
Easy peasy. Dubai is a fascinating city, constantly growing and changing – a melting pot of food, culture and trends. And on top of that, it’s got an utterly MAHOOSIVE expat crowd – we’re talking about 90% here – as well as nearly 7,000 restaurants.
Let’s get eatin’.
Of course, we know all too well that it’s impossible to explore these restaurants from nearly 8,000km away – that’s why we’re enlisting the help of a crack squad over there to do some of the hard work.
Our new team in Dubai – headed up by advertising veteran Richard Fitzgerald, of 52 burrito dates fame – will sample and review as much as they can throughout the city and report back to give us a taster (!) of what Dubai is really like.
Tough work right?!
“The great thing about Lovin Dubai is we only had to change two letters,” said Graham Kinsella, general manager of the Lovin Group. “Going east is unusual, but that’s how we roll. MENA is in hyper growth when it comes to all things digital, so it really is the place to be.”
When I first met Niall he said he wanted 10 cities by the end of 2015 so we’re delighted to get another step closer to this goal. Our ambitions with Lovin Group are to grow a global brand – the first place you check before you go out, not just for visitors but for those that live in the city.

Lovin Group editor Aidan Coughlan said that Dubai is the perfect place for the company to do what it does best – help people separate the signal from the noise, and pick out the best bits of a city.
Our slogan, our tagline, our proposition is ‘Rediscover Your City’, and that’s exactly what we help people to do in Dublin – not just by shining a light on the undiscovered aspects, but also by helping people to make the most of the overwhelming choice they’re faced with every day.
And where does that proposition apply more than a city like Dubai, populated by expats who are both locals and explorers at the same time?

Another part of the world to eat, drink, document and maybe piss the odd person off.
Bring it on!
