This Show About A Hipster Spinster And ‘Two Pricks In A Hotel Room’ Looks Hilarious

Sarah

What better way to spend a mid-week evening than laughing your head off at other people’s romantic failures eh?

All jealous jokes aside, these two shows (yep, two shows in one performance) on tonight and tomorrow in Smock Alley Theatre look absolutely GAS and we are defo booking tickets for a single lay-dies night out.

Two Pricks In A Hotel Room, written by Jane Madden, is a comic look at a tragic love affair.

“Dan’s an Actor. Fi is his stage manager. They wake up in Dan’s hotel room, the morning after. But nothing happened. Did it? She’s young enough to be his daughter, and he’s old enough to be her type.

‘Two Pricks In A Hotel Room’ is a comic look at a bleak romance between two people who don’t like each other. Or themselves.

What’s Cooler than a Hipster? A Spinster!, a stand-up show created by comedian Pauline Shanahan, is one woman’s quest to celebrate spinsterhood.

“We can earn our own money, own property and no-one’s burnt us for witchcraft in ages. But despite all this, will it ever be cool to be a spinster? This show answers all this and less.”

The shows are on as part of the Scene + Heard festival of new work across live performance genres, and gives artists the chance to get feedback on previously unseen pieces of work.

Tickets can be bought here for just €12, and the shows are sure to add a bit of fun to the middle of your week.
