Have you ever explored some of Ireland's galleries and been blown away by the homegrown talent on show? Yep, us too.

There's so many incredible artists at the moment in our lovely creative country, and quite often they don't get the recognition they deserve.

We've been admiring work by the following creatives for some time now, and think it's time to show them off - enjoy!

1. Stephen Johnson

An incredible realist painter from Co. Down who frequently places figures and objects in unexpected backgrounds.

2. Fuchsia Macaree

An illustrator working in Dublin, Fuchsia's funky prints would look amazing on anyone's wall. She does street art, screenprints for tote bags and magazine work.

3. Duda

Dublin-based David Uda (Duda), makes colourful, pop-art pieces in both print and other mediums. We are obsessed with his work.

4. Bláithín Ennis

Bláithín designs and makes couture fashion pieces for her own jewelry line.

Just LOOK at that handmade choker.

5. Francis O' Toole

Francis only took up painting at the age of 17, and his work is shown all over the world. Expect even bigger and better things from this young artist.

6. Claire McCluskey

Claire is a visual artist from Monaghan who currently lives and works in Dublin. She creates deadly installations and sculptures from things like hooks and thread.

7. Caol McDonald

An illustrative artist based up in the good oul North, Caol's work is moody and mythical and amazing.

8. Eleanor McCaughey

Eleanor's work is crazy cool. She sculpts figures out of materials like fur and glitter, and then tries to capture that shine and texture in her work.

9. Hugh O'Conor

Having started his career filmography, as well as being a photo-genius Hugh is also an actor. The more y'know.

10. Michelle Maher

Making stunning outdoor sculptures and wall pieces, these pieces are pure works of art and we want one.
