Summer is here and after work drinks are about to hit another level.
Arms are going to be frightfully easy to twist with the good weather and heading for ‘one’ is going to escalate real quick.
The best thing about it is sitting in some lovely outside location in the city and drinking a few cans with your mates.
Now, DO NOT leave your poxy rubbish around the place, but here are our top picks for a few cans outside in the sunshine:
1. Grand Canal
Obviously, this is the GOAT for cans when the sun hits and anywhere you can get a seat, goes.
The place gets packed with hundreds of people enjoying the sun along the lovely canal.
A great thing about this area is that Bernard Shaw is just around the corner and if you bring them a bag of empty cans they will give you a free pint.
So when the sun and the temperature dips you can pop around with the empties you’ve just drank and get free pints. Win, win.

2. The Pav
Another famous spot for summer drinks.
I haven’t ventured into Trinity that much as I’m not the sharpest tool in the box, but the grounds are always rammed when the good weather hits.

3. Howth View Point
Just a glorious place for a walk really, but if people start slowly parking their bottoms down on a little patch of grass, the crowds build.

4. Papal Cross
There are a number of places to lie down and take in the rays in Phoenix Park but the main gathering area is around the Papal Cross.
Not entirely sure that was the original intention of it, but who I am to argue.

5. Albert College park
Located beside DCU, one of the busiest colleges around, you are sure to get a crowd around ‘Albo’ as the summer sun sets in.
