Looking for something to do this weekend? Why not go on a tour of some the best bars in Ireland, located right here in Dublin?
As pub crawls go, it sounds like a good shout and thanks to last night’s Bar Of The Year Awards, finding the best places in the city to have a drink couldn’t be easier.
The swanky celebration took place last night at the Clayton Hotel and while the overall winner was Cask in Cork, there are plenty of venues celebrating here in Dublin today as well. In total, there were nine winners from the capital and without further ado, here they are:
City Bar Of The Year – Café En Seine, Dawson Street
Hotel Bar Of The Year (Five Star) – The Sidecar Bar at The Westbury Hotel, Balfe Street
Gastro Bar Of The Year – Knights Bar at Clontarf Castle
Live Entertainment Bar Of The Year – The Workmans Club, Wellington Quay
Late Bar/Nightclub Of The Year – Opium Club, Wexford Street
Best Bar To Watch The Match – Buskers On The Ball, Fleet Street
Outstanding Customer Service Award – The Betsy, Swords
Innovative Bar Of The Year – The Virgin Mary Bar, Capel Street
Wine Bar Of The Year – Piglet, Cow’s Lane
Not a bad little lot to pick from for your next night out. As well as the winners, some other Dublin places can be happy enough with runners-up spots including Kehoe’s for Traditional Bar Of The Year and Johnnie Fox’s for Tourist Bar Of The Year.
