Whelans

It's Saturday night and you're raring to go out.

Of course, many of you just want to try out new spots with friends, maybe get cosy, or just try some great cocktails, that's all cool.

But for many, you're hoping to lucky tonight – that's where this little list comes in. Try your chances in one of the following spots this fine evening...

10. Fitzsimons Temple Bar

Temple Bar might not be where local Dubliner's spend the most time, but this huge club and bar is packed to the rafters with tourists and sports fans having a good time from lunchtime onwards. You'll run into plenty of people looking to partner up, so the biggest issue might be narrowing it down to that one special person.

Fitz

9. Krystle

It may be one of the posher nightclubs in the capital, but don't let that fool you. You don't come here to sip over a pint and chat about the economy.

8. The Wright Venue

Well known as a venue where people go to let their hair down at the weekend. It draws huge crowds mean you'll be sure to find somebody that takes your fancy.

Wright

7. Mother

A nightclub that's focused on the LGBT crowd and usually heaving at the weekends with quality tunes and an atmosphere where you'll meet plenty of potential partners. A good shout for the straight folk who tag along too.

Mother

6. The Workmans

Big busy nightclub that's popular with the student crowd during the week and young professionals at the weekends. You'll be crushed up against lots of bodies in tight spaces with the shots and cocktails flowing. All the ingredients are there to get the ride... provided you can hear what people are saying over the noise.

Workmans

5. Tinder/Grindr

Embrace a more modern (or lazy) way of dating. A whole host of apps now allow you to choose your partner from the comfort of your couch, or even while sitting on the toilet (maybe don't tell them that though). Take the pain and expense of nightclubs out of the equation and get straight down to business.

Tinder

4. Grand Social

Great music and a lively young crowd at the weekends make this the perfect city centre spot to get the ride. Perfect place to go with a group of friends before peeling off to the side and snagging a partner.

3. Copper Face Jacks

You probably expected Copper's would top the list, but in truth the vast majority of people who make it that far on a night out are far too twisted for the horizontal jogging. Still a super place for meeting people though, with lots of options from all corners of Ireland and the world.

Coppers

2. 37 Dawson Street

This huge venue is full of well dressed, trendy and mostly single young ladies and gents. The professional crowd are in at the later nights in the week and a few pints often turn into a messy session. Hit the dance floor for plenty of options.

Dawson

1. Whelan's

It has everything going for it and no surprise it tops the list. Somewhere that you go late in the night when feeling especially merry. Lots of dark corners, loud music, and a good mixed crowd make this the ideal spot to get the ride.
