These Are The 10 Best G&Ts You’ll Find In Dublin In 2017

Alana Laverty

If there’s one thing I know, it’s my G&Ts.

From the ratio of gin to tonic, to the carefully chosen complimentary garnish, the sharp taste of quinine and just enough carbonation for an exciting fizz – nothing makes me happier than a perfectly constructed G&T.

Gin, glorious gin.

We’ve rounded up some of the best gin and tonics we’ve tasted in the last year or so – and here they are.

1. The Marker Rooftop Bar, Grand Canal Dock

‘Floating Berries’ is the best-looking G&T I’ve ever drank.

With Tanqueray gin, elderflower tonic, raspberries, champagne and topped with fresh flowers – it is just SO pretty. But it is far from cheap.

2. The Black Door, Harcourt Street

With their new Gin Experience, The Black Door are seriously upping their game.

Carefully chosen unique gins with a splash of sharp Thomas Henry tonic – yes.

3. Wilde at The Westbury

Wilde have a signature G&T menu with over ten different combos. The one I gravitate towards time and time again is the Glendalough Spring Gin and tonic.

With Fever Tree elderflower tonic, lime and raspberries – all measured and poured together in front of you at your table using some crazy contraptions – it’s an experience in itself.

4. The Taphouse, Ranelagh

There’s nothing like a G&T out on the terrace after a long day of #werk.

And they’ve a wide range to choose from, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

5. Lemon & Duke, Duke Lane Upper

A stone’s throw from Grafton Street, the relatively-new and super trendy Lemon & Duke have an impressive G&T list.

Enjoy inside or out.

6. The Porterhouse, Nassau Street

Home of Dingle Gin in Dublin, The Porterhouse do some great gin muddles for a tenner.

Our personal favourite is their watermelon-spiked gin masterpiece.

7. Drury Buildings, Drury Street

These guys knock it off of the park when it comes to gin.

They’ve a menu based on gins from every county in Ireland – which we adore the idea of.

8. 37 Dawson Street

Cherry blossom tonic water with Irish Short Cross gin?

YES PLEASE.

9. The Mint Bar @ The Westin

This hidden gem has a serious focus on gin.

The perfect place to duck in out of the cold over Christmas, right beside Trinners.

Last but not least, the royal home of gin: The Gin Palace.

Order a tasting tray and thank us later.

Gin. Where would we be without it?

Think we’ve left a ‘Top 10’ worthy G&T off the list? Let us know in the comments!
