Dublin Café Announces They Won’t Take Cash Payment

Rebecca Keane

We’ve seen many shops and businesses go cashless and it seems like the trend will only continue.

Coffee chain Bear Market Coffee that you may have spotted in Blackrock, the IFSC and Pembroke Street Lower have opened another store.

The newest Bear Market Coffee to open its doors is on George’s Street – but this store in particular won’t be accepting any cash payments.

Customers can pay for beverages using Apple Pay, contactless payment or using the store’s loyalty app.

The Dublin coffee roasters explained the reason for discounting cash payments altogether, saying they are “excited about the improved customer experience, service and efficiency” that can be offered.

The George’s Street opens today after lunchtime and will be open from 7.30am tomorrow onwards.
