Amy’s story

This story begins with a job interview that actually went really well.

The interviewer’s name was Mindy, and she emailed me later that same day to organise a second interview – to which I, naturally, enthusiastically replied.

Then, however, weeks went by and I hadn’t heard a word about finalising the second stage.

I couldn’t understand the radio silence…

until I went in to double-check I’d actually sent that reply… only to find that my iPhone had autocorrected Mindy’s name.

To ‘Minge’.

I did not get the job.
