Dave’s story

At the end of an interview, I was told to ‘take a seat outside’ while they chatted.

So naturally (in my head), I picked up the chair I was sitting on and carried it out of the room with me.

I was halfway towards the door when I realised what I was doing, but by then it was too late… I had to continue.

I could hear laughing as I sat out in the waiting area and, perhaps unsurprisingly, I didn’t get the job.
