Gerard’s Interview: ‘I Walked Out Flustered, Looked The Wrong Way And Got Knocked Down By A Car’

Gerard’s story

I was going for a part time job in a clothes store while at university, and being the party-loving student that I was, I went out on the piss the night before.

Everything was going as well as could be expected until the usual question of best and worst qualities to which, for some unknown reason, I answered: “I’m a bit lazy”.

Oops.

Not surprisingly, they finished up the interview at that point, so I left the store embarrassed and flustered, looked the wrong way on the one-way street and managed to get knocked down by a car.

Luckily I wasn’t badly injured – but the interviewers had to come to my aid, undoubtedly breathing a huge sigh of relieve that they dodged the bullet of hiring me.
