Waffles ain’t the kinda thing you can eat every day.
Whether they’re sweet or savoury – waffles are indulgent, calorie-dense and super filling.
So we generally save them for special occasions, like a hungover Saturday or a sad Sunday.
We’ve rounded up our 11 fave spots to munch on some waffles in Dublin, and here they are…
1. Restaurant 104 – Drumcondra
For €9 you get a mound of authentic Belgian waffles with strawbs ‘n’ cream in this lovely spot.
2. Sweet Republic – Bachelors Walk
This place is famous for its waffles. And these pictures explain exactly why…
*Warning* sugar coma guaranteed.
BLISS!
3. Woollen Mills – Ormond Quay
You can only get these savoury waffles on a Sunday – but they are SO worth waiting for.
Choose from the bacon and egg waffle sambo or the spinach, bearaise, tomato and fried egg waffle sandwich. Both €13.

These guys are taking over Dublin’s desert scene. Their waffles are fool-proof. You just can’t go wrong with one of these, each made fresh to order.

Perfection does exist at this neighbourhood gelateria. Soft yet crunchy waffles topped with whatever the f*ck you want.

Find them on Dawson Street or South William Street.
