11 Places To Get Indulgent Sweet And Savoury Waffles In Dublin

Waffles ain’t the kinda thing you can eat every day.

Whether they’re sweet or savoury – waffles are indulgent, calorie-dense and super filling.

So we generally save them for special occasions, like a hungover Saturday or a sad Sunday.

We’ve rounded up our 11 fave spots to munch on some waffles in Dublin, and here they are…

1. Restaurant 104 – Drumcondra

For €9 you get a mound of authentic Belgian waffles with strawbs ‘n’ cream in this lovely spot.

2. Sweet Republic – Bachelors Walk

This place is famous for its waffles. And these pictures explain exactly why…

3. Woollen Mills – Ormond Quay

You can only get these savoury waffles on a Sunday – but they are SO worth waiting for.

Choose from the bacon and egg waffle sambo or the spinach, bearaise, tomato and fried egg waffle sandwich. Both €13.

4. Gino’s Gelato

These guys are taking over Dublin’s desert scene. Their waffles are fool-proof. You just can’t go wrong with one of these, each made fresh to order.

5. Scoop – Ranelagh

Perfection does exist at this neighbourhood gelateria. Soft yet crunchy waffles topped with whatever the f*ck you want.

6. Whitefriar Grill – Aungier Street

Whoever makes Whitefriar’s sweet waffles deserves keys to Dublin city. They are heavenly.

Their black pudding waffles with whipped foie gras are also to die for if you’re more of a savoury kinda person.

7. Dillinger’s – Ranelagh

Chicken and waffles – the best concept ever.

For €13 you get Louisiana spiced chicken, buttermilk waffles and spiced maple syrup. Add bacon, a fried egg and sausages for an extra €7.

8. Mooch

Our favourite Liege waffles, we could eat these all day, every day. If you’re looking for a waffle to grab ‘n’ go then this is the one for you.

9. Lemon

Love Nutella? Then you will <3 this from one of Dublin’s most reliable spots.

Find them on Dawson Street or South William Street.

10. Herbstreet

Quality waffles with one of the best views in Dublin. Can’t really complain about that now can we?

Their waffles are gluten and wheat free and for €12.50 you can get ’em with fresh berries, compote and clotted cream or banana and maple syrup.

11. The Paddocks

And last, but not least, we have The Paddocks and their white Kinder Bueno waffles. Yes, this is what dreams are made of.
