When you think of “summer food,” you probably think of backyard grills and beachside bonfires manned by Chef Dad.

But while that’s well and good, Dublin’s professional chefs do a pretty great job of whipping up your favorite summer dishes too. Here’s our list of the summery treats you have to try in Dublin this summer.

1. Raspberry sorbet from Murphy’s

A cone of anything from Murphy’s screams ‘summer’, but the raspberry sorbet is a particular (and dairy-free) sunny-weather favourite.

2. Char-grilled corn on the cob from Taco Taco

Yes, we really went to Taco Taco and ordered something other than a taco.

Few things are better suited for a summer meal than corn on the cob, and Taco Taco’s parmesan-crusted version is positively delightful.

Okay, so this one’s a drink and not a food.

But sit at an outside table and kick back with a pitcher of this summer sangria, and you’ll be practically transported to a summer in Spain.

5. Brunch tacos at San Lorenzo’s

Combine two of the greatest experiences of summertime at San Lorenzo’s: eating delicious jerk chicken tacos and rolling out of bed at 2pm for brunch.

Grab a sambo at the city’s best outdoor market and enjoy a lunch in the sun.
