Brunch is the most important weekend ritual of them all.

It is a time of relaxation, splurging and gorging.

We thought it was time to bring you an updated list of brunch dishes in Dublin that you just HAVE to try.

1. Meet Me In The Morning – Eggs And Yoghurt

Served with green veg and paprika oil – these are a strong contender for the best eggs in Dublin

2. BEAR – Mushrooms On Toast

But not just any mushrooms. These are melt-in-your-mouth, miso-butter-fried chestnut mushrooms.

BEAR serve 'em up on sourdough with avo and rocket. I usually lash on an egg or a side of bacon for the craic too.

3. The House –  Fish Cake Benedict

With crispy Connemara ham, chilli jam, watercress and creamy hollandaise sauce.

It has been dubbed "the best brunch on the Northside".

4. Eathos – Buckwheat Pancakes

€9.50 for these fluffy beauts and they're served with ricotta, blueberries, coconut yogurt, cacao nibs and agave syrup.

Eathos, you dream.

5. Bow Lane – Eggs On Greens

With grains, freekah, tomatoes, poached eggs and hollandaise for €10. Throw in an espresso martini too – they are amaze.

So you may feel guilty for brunchin', but not too guilty 'cos, well, vegetables.

6. 3FE – Eggs Bene

Although these aren't always on the menu, they are permanently lodged in my top 5 favourite brunches of all time.

The ham hock is shredded to perfection, the poached-ness of the eggs is phenomenal, the sauce is perfectly bitter yet savoury and, of course, all washed down with a cup of gorge coffee. It just doesn't get better than that.

7. Sophie's – French Toast

Drenched in maple syrup and fresh berries for €9.95.

Is there a better way to start the late-afternoon than looking at stunning views of Dublin city?

8. Herbstreet – Full Irish

Grilled McCarren bacon, sausage, creamy scrambled eggs, black pudding, corned beef hash, roast tomato, baked beans and multiseed spelt bread for €14.

Steep enough for a full Irish, but you genuinely won't need to eat for the rest of the day.

9. Union Café – Brisket Sambo

This lil gem over in Mount Merrion serves some serious sandwhich combinations.

The beef brisket on sourdough with caramelised onion, cheese and horseradish mayo is a sure winner.

10. Angelina's – Crab Cakes Benedict

Another fish cake benedict, but this one is HUNREAL. €14 for golden crab cakes with pink grapefruit, avo and chilli kale.

It has to be devoured to be believed.

11. The Exchequer – Sunday Roast For Four

Has to be ordered in advance but at €50 including a bottle of wine, this is as finely as you can possibly eat on a Sunday.

12. De Selby's – Cote de Boeuf

De Selby's do two for one on brunch cocktails. That in itself is a great reason to go.

But this juicy Cote de Boeuf will floor you, in a good way.

13. Taco Taco – Chicken and Waffles

The perfect place for a boozy brunch.

This chicken and waffle stack with sweet potatoes will put you into a weekend-long food coma.

14. Bang Bang – Brunch Burger

Eggs. Cheese. Bacon. Relish. YUM.

This gorge little caf makes Phibsborough my favourite place ever.

15. The Butcher Grill – Baby Back BBQ Ribs

You'll probably want a clear enough head, because dealing with the mess of eating ribs with a hangover is not advised but these are absolutely divine.

16. The Bakehouse – Salmon and Scrambled Eggs

That Liffey view you get from The Bakehouse is unbeatable. And the food is pretty feckin' class to match.

And you will dream about them forever.
