3,500 New Homes Planned For This Dublin Area

Alana Laverty

3,500 homes are set to be approved for construction in the future at the new urban redevelopment site at Poolbeg.

Homes for 7,000 were originally planned but this number has now risen by 1,000 bringing the expected population to 8,000.

The apartments will be constructed over the coming years along the Poolbeg Peninsula and at the Irish Glass Bottle site as part of the Poolbeg Strategic Development Zone.

The future up and coming area of Dublin perhaps?

Dublin City Council Poolbeg

The increase is set to hopefully be approved by Dublin City Council next month and will require an increase in the height of the planned apartment blocks and a reduction in office and retail space originally planned.
