Six days of our favourite tunes, a brunch, a book launch and endless tributes to the infamous Bowie held in various venues around the city, a dream come true really.

1. Enda Walsh – Sugar Club
Thursday, January 5
Guest of honour and one of the last people to work with Bowie, Enda Walsh will discuss his insights on working alongside the legend as co-writer of the successful Broadway show Lazarus.

3. The Bowie Ball – Sugar Club
Saturday, January 7
The infamous band of Salty Dog pirates will recreate their lauded Electric Picnic tribute to the Thin White Duke as they bring their rum soaked instruments to the Sugar Club for a raucous night of no-holds-barred-wham-bam-thank-you-Mam-rock ‘n’ rolllllllll.
Sounds like a dream come true.

4. Bowie Brunch with Ed Smith – The Woollen Mills
Sunday, January 8
Bowie + brunch. Our two favourite things.
Today FM’s Ed Smith will be spinning the decks on the heated Woollen Mills terrace at the inaugral Bowie Brunch.

5. Gerry Leonard with Cello Ireland – Whelan’s
Monday, January 9
Long-time Bowie guitarist/musical director Gerry Leonard will play Whelan’s as part of the festival. There’ll be a Q&A on the night and Cello Ireland will join Gerry to play also.
