Every week you’ll find different lunchtime markets popping up under the eaves of buildings, slotted into industrial spaces or along Dublin’s waterways...
The line-up can vary day-to-day, but there are some trusty favourites that pitch their stand week in, week out.
So here's our pick of five of the best - perfect for any hungry office workers!
For a tasty middle-eastern veg hit, check out Ali’s Falafels. Small golden balls are lightly coated in Middle Eastern spices before being deep fried and combined with either hummus or baba ganoush, shredded lettuce, fresh tomato and chilli. The result? A tasty, crunchy chickpea fest with just the right amount of seasoning and dressing.
Oh and did we mention that it's only a fiver?
Ali’s Falafels can be found at LUAS Stillorgan, Waterways Ireland Visitor Centre, Spencer Dock, Mespil Road, Merrion Square, Sandyford and Grand Canal (Percy Place) every week.

A long-time favourite with ravenous city workers, the queues start forming early for this seriously tasty Spanish dish. It’s all that paella should be: brightly coloured paprika and saffron rice, glorious chunks of tender, flavoursome chicken and piquant chorizo. And to make matters even tastier, they ladle a generous dollop of garlic aioli on top.
Be warned: portions are seriously generous so work up an appetite or take some home to continue the Spanish odyssey in the comfort of your kitchen. €8 a portion.
The full list of markets they attend is here.
A woodfire-made pizza is a rare thing, and once you try it, it’s hard to go back to sad frozen pizzas. Dave’s Pizzas are made using ancient Italian methods using hand kneaded sourdough and ‘flash baking’ them to order. They’re 9inch so you can decide if it’s a share-with-the-colleagues or scoff-the-lot kinda day. They usually have 5 or 6 different pizzas to chose from along with a weekly special, all priced between €6 - €7.50.
Delish!
Who doesn’t love a sneaky burger on their lunch? And all the more indulgent when there’s bacon, Cashel blue cheese or balsamic caramelised onions on top...
These guys make a mean burger, and don’t shy away from hot, fiery sauces like their chipotle relish or signature black pepper sauce. Their ‘Feel The Burn’ chilli salsa burger will certainly give you a lunchtime jolt! Or, for something a little different, try the spiced lamb burger. €9 will get you a burger, chips and a drink.

Time for dessert! All are made fresh daily, and by hand. Their raspberry ones and their Oreos ones are particularly amazing, so it's totally ok to inhale both in one sitting. Sure you could hardly be forced to pick between the two, now could you?!

Drooling? Us too.
