It is feared that over 500 workers could lose their jobs at the computer manufacturing giant Hewlett Packard, based in Leixlip, over the next coming days.
According to RTÉ, management executives from the U.S have flown over to speak to staff this morning about their future in the company.
Back in 2015, Hewlett-Packard split into two companies; HP Inc and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. HP Inc continued on with the PC and printing business, while Hewlett-Packard Enterprise focused more on industrial grade servers, networking equipment, software and services.

HP Inc has come under growing pressure since the printer business has seen a decline, and in October last year it announced that between 3,000 to 4,000 jobs would be cut internationally over the next three years.
