It’s that time of the week again when we’ve forgotten about the horrors of last weekend’s hangover, and start dreaming about the possibilities of this weekend.
Hopes are high, inhibitions are low – and we’re still dreading checking our bank balance, but we’ll manage somehow.
We’ve tried to cover something for everyone. Now all you have to do is choose…
1. Sunset Birth – The IMMA Summer Party 2017
A landmark event for all art-loving Dubliners, IMMA is delighted to announce details of ‘Sunset Birth’ – the 2017 IMMA Summer Party sponsored by O’Hara’s Irish Craft Beers and curated by the artist Linder and the musician Maxwell Sterling.
Expect cool tunes, beautiful surroundings and performances from Fatima Al Qadiri, WIFE the music act, Greg Wilson and Conor Thomas among others.

2. Dropkick Murphys @ The Iveagh Gardens
Punk veterans Dropkick Murphys, who released ‘11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory’ in January, will be kicking things off in the Iveagh Gardens thus Sunday from 5pm.
One of Dublin’s nicest venues – this is sure to be a cracker of a gig.

3. PH?SES Presents: Craic agus Jazz @ MVP
Over the next few months, MVP will play host to a collection of incredibly smooth Jazz musicians for your sophisticated pleasure.
The musicians’ll be playing a mix of their own compositions, as well as some standards from the greats, like Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, Dizzie Gillespie, and Miles Davis, to name but a few.
Entry is free but it is encouraged to give a fair donation.

3. Rodrigo y Gabriela
The incredible duo are hitting up the Academy this Sunday from 9pm.

4. Spinster Roof Party @ Bad Bobs
A fiver in for the first 50 in the door – this rooftop event is certainly not to be missed.
Think drinks promotions, Kate Bush and lots and lots of dancing.

5. Manma Saor Mid Summer Jam
Looking for a sundown boogie?
Richmond Street is where it’s at.
Manma Saor will be taking over the Bernard Shaw backyard this Sunday 16 with a mixed bag of selections from around the world.
Expect everything from funk to dancehall to afrobeat.
Entry is free.

6. Brocante Market @ Newmarket Square
The Brocante Market has been running on the third Sunday of each month for the past six years and boasts of having the best dealers in vintage, retro, antiques, salvage, curios and the bizarre that Ireland has to offer.
They have 45+ traders each month selling furniture, lighting, vinyl, ceramics, clothing, art, jewellery, mid-century, books and more.
The Brocante takes place in the Green Door, Newmarket Square, Dublin 8, from 11am – 5pm.

7. And finally, The Mad Hatters Afternoon G&T Party
The Mad Hatters Afternoon G&T Party is the new take on traditional Afternoon Tea that you needed.
