It’s no secret that Dublin was hit hard by the doughnut trend in the last few years.
And we were (and still are) massive fans of the glorious ring-shaped desert.
But sometimes you wanna hop back off of that bandwagon and try something a little different.
So here are seven glorious, sugary, decadent desserts you can get in Dublin that aren’t doughnuts:
1. Cookie Sambo – Scoop
The only thing better than ice cream is an ice cream sandwich – with COOKIES.
You can find this wonderful sambo creation in Scoop, Ranelagh.
2. Chocolate brownie – The Fat Fox
A good brownie is surprisingly hard to come by these days.
But The Fat Fox are bringin’ brownies back – and they’re so damn delicious.
Nothing like settling into a chocolate coma on the weekend.
3. Kinder Bueno Spring Rolls – P. Mac’s
You’re probably sick of hearing about these, but they really are phenom.
Kinder Buenos wrapped in spring roll pastry and deep fried <3 served with ice cream and marshmallow dip. Hell yes.
4. Any cupcake – The Cupcake Bloke
Also known as the cupcake masters – you’ll never be disappointed by their creations.
You can find them on Coppinger Row just off South William and Clarendon streets.
5. Big, dorty milkshake – Sweet Republic
Because liquid calories don’t count.
This Oreo, red velvet shake is the stuff of our dirtiest and sweetest dreams.
6. Salted caramel popcorn – Taco Taco
Salty, caramel-y popcorn topped with peanut butter ice cream.
Heaven is a place on earth at Taco Taco.
7. Hand-rolled ice cream – Arctic Stone
