It’s the weekend and you’re hankering for a little something sweet, but sweet needn’t necessarily equate to bold.

Don’t ruin your latest health kick with a Mars Bar, we promise you you’ll regret it. Try instead one of the many delicious healthy snacks this city has to offer. 

There are loooooads, and they’re all whopper. We swear. 

1. Sugar free paleo brownies, Lo Cal Kitchen

These dreamboats are freshly baked first thing in Lo Cal every morning, and made with sweet potato, coconut flour, hazelnuts and maple syrup.

Sprout‘s carrot cake is vegan friendly, paleo, gluten free and dairy free. And it tastes divine.

These beauties from Chopped have no added sugar, are paleo, gluten free, handmade, raw, have no additives and are absolutely deadly. 

A heavenly alternative to biscuits, these guys go perfect with a cuppa tay.

4. A selection, Cocu

Definitely the cheapest healthy treats in the city, these tiny delicacies are made in-house, with all natural, dairy free and gluten free ingredients and absolutely no refined sugars.

5. Nutrition balls, Cracked Nut

Everything in here is healthy, freshly made and super delicious. And with a coffee and scone coming in at just €2.95, you know you’re onto a winner. 

Their new range of nutrition balls are being sold in Supervalu stores across the country, meaning that you can even incorporate these guys into your weekly shop.

They come in between €2.90-€3 for four, depending where you buy.

6. Chocolate cup cake with chocolate avocado frosting, Happy Food by Yoga Hub

If that title isn’t enough to entice you, then I don’t know what will. 

Potentially the tastiest on the list, this cup cake from Happy Food by the Yoga Hub is as decadent as any other cake on the market, and still leaves you feeling light and springy rather than heavy and sluggish. 

And you tick off one of your five a day. Happy days!
