A couple were en route to the National Maternity Hospital on Holles Street for a routine check-up this morning when something pretty unexpected happened.
The birth of their child.
In their car.
On the footpath of Hatch Street.
Yeah, no big deal.
Dublin Fire Brigade received a call and were en route, according to Journal.ie, but by the time they arrived at 8.50am – the baby girl had already been delivered.
What a way to enter the world!
Passersby helped as the mother delivered the child herself.
They were then transported to hospital by ambulance where they are doing well.
