As you may have heard, the Dublin men's senior football team go in search of their fifth All-Ireland title in a row on Sunday.
Standing in their way will be old rivals Kerry and whatever happens, Dubs manager Jim Gavin's reputation among the city's GAA supporters will remain intact.
With five Sam Maguires already under his belt since taking over the role in 2012, the former Round Towers clubman has given fans some of their most memorable moments in recent decades and to mark his achievements, work on a new mural in his honour will begin on Sunday night.
Councillor Christy Burke told
FM104 that the piece will be a "permanent fixture in Ballybough" and will stretch from the Clonliffe House to the Bridge Tavern.
Not only that, Burke also wants to mark Sunday's All-Ireland Final by turning the River Liffey blue, adding: "I intend to make contact with senior management of Irish Water and with the assistance of Dublin City Council, turn the River Liffey blue for a couple of hours on Sunday."
All systems go, indeed. Roll on the weekend.
