A body has been recovered from the water at Coal Harbour in Dún Laoghaire this morning.
The alarm was raised by a member of the public at approximately 5.30am this morning after a car entered the water at the harbour.
Gardaí, the RNLI and the Coast Guard attended the scene, according to the Journal.ie.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that a major search was undertaken this morning and confirmed that the person recovered from the water has been pronounced dead.
No further details have yet been released.
