A Car Is Ablaze On The M50 While Traffic Chaos Looms In Dublin City Centre

There is total chaos on Dublin roads right now.

Drivers and bus users, here's all you need to know:

The M50 southbound is temporarily closed at J14 Leopardstown as emergency services deal with a car on fire in the hard shoulder.

Take care as visibility may be affected. Traffic is slow on approach.

Memorial Road is closed both way due to a collision on Custom House Quay.

Diversions are in place for inbound traffic but expect major delays.

Bus users could be affected due to this collision. Routes 14, 15 and 27 will not be operating via Eden Quay Southbound.

Elsewhere, there are eastbound delays along the Grand Canal from before the Clogher Road junction to Harold's Cross.

Traffic is also heavy on the Dublin Road and Baldoyle approaches to Sutton Cross due to the Dublin Bay Prawn Festival which is taking place in Howth.

Take care out there.
