This Dublin Restaurant Is Donating All Of Today’s Takings To Homeless Charities

As Christmas gets closer, Dublin’s homeless problem isn’t getting any better. With temperatures plummeting this week, reaching out to help those living on the streets has never felt so important.

Enter Wishbone on Montague Street. The restaurant has committed to donating all of its takings for Monday December 18 to Focus Ireland and Inner City Helping Homeless.

Wishbone’s James Stimpson said:

“Having been open for over a year and walked from Pearse Station to Wishbone day and night, I’ve seen first hand the sad reality that men, women and children are suffering at the hands of living on the streets.

“I don’t have to tell you how cold it is out there so on Monday 18th Dec we will give all money taken in for the day to go to a homeless charity, to be confirmed. Please like and share and come down, day or night on the 18th and spend, spend, spend. You can also drop in a donation.”

What an amazing gesture. If this wasn’t a good enough reason to head down and get your fill of delicious chicken wings, Wishbone is pretty damn good too. We’ve written about them before here.
