A ‘Father Ted’-Themed Quiz, Lovely Girls Competition AND Scavenger Hunt Will Take Place In Dublin Next Week

seank

Father Ted is the kind of show that breeds fans of the fanatical variety, the kind of fan that’d eat up these particular events.

There will be a Father Ted quiz and Lovely Girls competition held at the Grafton Lounge next week, with Eoin McLove himself (Patrick McDonnell) acting as your MC for the night. It’ll be like a mini-Tedfest.

You can expect themed rounds based on trivia from the show, which will be interluded by a fabulous Lovely Girls competition.

The last Father Ted quiz organised by Green Shoes Events sold out in just two days, so if you’re interested you might wanna book fast. Tickets are €35 for a table of five.

Be sure to dress up too, because there’ll also be prizes for best dressed priest, nun or hairy baby. Or be really original and go as Elvis.

AND the following day, in a separately planned event, there will be a Father Ted-themed scavenger hunt around the city centre.

It’s €10 to enter the hunt, but winners will bag themselves some fantastic prizes, with one Electric Picnic weekend camping ticket and two Life Festival weekend camping tickets in the pot.

‘The Old Grey Whistle Hunt’ is for an incredibly worthy cause as well, with proceeds going to the Denise Ryan Lyme Fund, paying for life saving treatment for a 31-year-old Dublin woman suffering from an aggressive form of Lyme disease (who recently appeared on ‘Humans of Dublin‘). You can donate to Denise’s fund here.

So, to sum up: you can find the ‘Careful Now’ quiz and Lovely Girls competition at the Grafton Lounge at 7pm, Friday, May 13, with tickets available here. ‘The Old Grey Whistle Hunt’ will start from Merrion Square at 12pm on Saturday, May 14, and you can get those tickets here.
