A Huge Concert In Aid Of The Homeless Will Be Held Outside Leinster House Next Week

A huge concert will be held in protest at Dublin’s ongoing homeless problem outside Leinster House next week. 

Organised by activist group Inner City Helping Homeless in conjunction with the #mynameis campaign, the ‘creative peaceful protest’ will feature a host of names from the world of Irish music including Glenn Hansard, Frances Black, Lisa Canny and Ryan O’Shaughnessy.

There will also be appearances by spoken word artist Emmet Kirwan, homeless campaigners Father Peter McVerry and Erica Fleming, as well as the High Hopes Choir. Ahead of the concert, Erica said “I hope everyone comes along on December 12 to show their support for people who are stuck in homeless accommodation.”
