Further proof that the economy appears to be improving, as a massive new development planned for Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 will be launched later on today.
One Ballsbridge, which will inhabit the two acres where the Veterinary College used to stand, will consist of 568 apartments, a 152-bedroom hotel as well as retail and commercial spaces.
According to The Irish Times, the site was originally bought by developer Ray Grehan for a whopper €171.5 million but it was later acquired by The Comer Group for €22.5 million – at an 86.93% discount.
Building is to start very soon, with some parts of the complex to be completed by 2017.
