A man was stabbed to death on Cork Street yesterday.

The attack took place at Robinson's Court around 2.30pm, where a man in his 60s received several serious knife wounds.

According to TheJournal.ie, gardai quickly arrived at the scene and the victim was rushed to St James's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Anyone with information about the killing is urged to contact Kevin Street Garda Station.
