A New Bypass Of The Luas Tracks Has Led To Uncertainty Among Cyclists

James Fenton

A new bypass of the Luas tram tracks has opened on College Green in the city.

A video captured by Twitter user @Peteer shows the route which allows those traveling from Pearse Street and the northside to avoid the Luas lines. According to IrishCycle.com, it does not, however, provide access to Dawson Street or Nassau Street.

While shooting the this next video, there was some uncertainty about traffic light filters and pedestrians being unaware of oncoming cyclists…

Are you a cyclist in the city and, if so, will the new bypass be a help or a hindrance? Let us know in the comments.
