Walking around the city, you could be forgiven for thinking that the boom is back, what with cranes on the skyline and new venues and restaurants opening each week. However, in Temple Bar, things never really seemed to get too bad as tourism kept the business afloat. So when Eden closed, there was a prime spot smack bang in the centre of town just waiting to be snapped up..
Now we’re happy to report that The Meeting House has now popped up in Eden’s place. Developed by the team behind one of our favourite venues, Pygmalion, The Meeting House offers Burmese haute-cuisine by internationally acclaimed chef, Bawmra Jap. Combining delicious Burmese food with signature cocktails, as well as live bands and some of Dublin’s best DJs, the Meeting House is part restaurant/part club.
All main dishes and cocktails on the menu are €9.99, and on Sundays they are €6.66 which is perfect for anyone a bit broke after the weekend but still looking for some quality grub.
For Paddy’s Day, there’s no cover charge and Nathan Connolly from Snow Patrol will be playing a DJ set. If you’re looking for the perfect hybrid venue for dinner before easing yourself into an evening of dancing and delicious cocktails, the Meeting House must be the place.
