Dublin Fire Brigade have provided updates of their busy night last night which included assisting the delivery of a baby over the phone.

This morning they tweeted a member of their control staff assisted the delivery of that a baby boy until crews arrived from the Blanchardstown unit. Mother and baby are now being cared for at the Rotunda Hospital.

Is there anything they can't do? The fire brigade also dealt with a fire at Dalymount Park in Phibsboro and an electric fire at an apartment in artane where one casualty was treated at the scene.
