This Pub Has Just Been Named As Best In Dublin

There is some close competition when it comes to revealing the greatest pub in all of Dublin but there can only be one winner.

The Bar Of The Year Awards were revealed on Monday night in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road and while Cask in Cork won the overall award, the best pub in Dublin was revealed to be Devitts of Camden Street (Dublin).

How good is the pints in Devitts we hear you ask, well why don’t you have a taste for yourself and found out as we reviewed their pints not too long ago.

The best pub in Leinster was awarded to Johnnie Fox’s.

Katherine O’Riordan, Event Director said of the winners that:

“We are delighted that these awards give us the opportunity to showcase the very best bars, pubs and clubs this country has to offer.

“Ireland is known the world over for our outstanding bars along with the craic they provide – if these winners are anything to go by, that reputation is in safe hands.”

Other noteworthy winners were the Gin Library in Antrim who took home Gin Bar of the Year.

Whiskey bar of the year went to The Shelbourne Bar in Cork and the Rebel county also scooped Cocktail bartender of the year – Traford Murphy of Ballymaloe House won that award.

The fantastic, An Púcan in Galway won the People’s Choice Award as well as best pub in Connacht/Ulster.
