While my student days may be behind me, it doesn't mean I'm ready to give up on this city's amazing student deals.

Dublin has some absolutely unbelievable deals for broke students so if you're lucky enough to still have a legitimate student card, you need to check these out...

Dublin has a wealth of pubs and clubs, and many of the best ones offer great value on your weekly bevvies.
Howl At The Moon, Lower Mount Merrion
€2.50 drinks?! Lead the way.
Howl have been promoting their €2.50 for all drinks on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday deal for a while now, and it is incredibly popular.
Admission is free before 9pm on Wednesday and Thursday and costs €5 afterwards. You've got a little more time on the Friday, with free admission before 10pm. This is a pretty slick venue with three floors, a large smoking area and great music.
Dicey's Garden, Harcourt Street
Dicey's probably does the cheapest pint in the city, almost every night of the week.
On a Sunday and Monday, pints are €2, Tuesday €2.50, Wednesday €3, Thursday €3.50 and Friday €4.
Dicey's also do a special student deal of a carvery lunch for only €5, which is served from 12pm - 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. If you're hungry on a night out, they serve a BBQ menu from 10pm every day and each item is just €2!
Capitol Bar, Aungier Street
If you love cocktails, this is where you need to be.
'2 for Tuesdays' gives you two cocktails for the price of one, and on Thursdays, all cocktails are two for €7 from 5pm-10pm.
They have some great cocktail deals nearly every night of the week!
Pavilion Bar, Trinity College
If you are a student in Dublin, you no doubt know about the Pav. You can buy a can behind the bar for €2.45, and they might even pour it into a glass for you!
Their famous pizza deal is still running and you can get a pizza and a can for €10!.
They might ask for valid student ID, so make sure you have that all important card with you.
Food deals are second only to the liquid ones!
Apache Pizza offers a great deal for a small pizza with two toppings, a drink and chips for €5! Snap up this deal Monday through Thursday, before 5.30pm.
MAO serves authentic Thai and Asian foods and offers 10% off your order when you provide a valid student card.
Mongolian BBQ, Angelsea Street
Mongolian Barbeque has a menu filled with exotic cuisine. There's an Early Bird discount for students (which is available everyday until 7pm) with the All You Can Eat Stir Fry Buffet for €13.90. They also offer the Lunch Bowl Special, served 12pm - 4.30pm every day for €6.90.
There are different student discounts at off-peak times, so be sure to ask your server for more details.
A great joint for a bite to eat. They offer everything from healthy, wholesome lunches to pastries and cakes. They offer a 7% discount for anyone with a valid student card.
If you are heading to the Nassau Street branch, you can get a salad box, coffee and a cookie for €6!
Little Ass Burrito Bar
Dublin is slowly turning into the burrito capital of the world! Try the burrito's from Little Ass, and you won't be disappointed with their student deal for €6 for all burritos, tacos, boxes and quesadillas.
Many of the burrito bars around Dublin do some quality student deals - just don't forget to ask!
Just because a film cost millions to make, it does not mean you have to pay millions to go and see it!
On Mondays, you can avail of the 'two for one' deal on tickets when you show a valid student ID.
If you consider yourself a big cinema buff, you might want to consider getting yourself a student membership card. The IFI Student Membership is €15 on a Monday and gives you cheaper tickets all year round, discounts at the café, bar and Film Shop, double loyalty points (which, if you didn't know, add up to free tickets), free off-peak tickets and the chance to go see a free preview every month!
The Student Tuesday deal in Dundrum is great for anyone that likes a snack when they watch a film. Get yourself a large popcorn, large soft drink and a movie ticket for €10!
If you are planning on going to see a 3D film, there is an added cost of €2 (€1 for the film and €1 for the all important 3D glasses).
The Odeon Cinema in Blanchardstown offers €6 tickets on a Wednesday but get down early, this is not a well-kept secret!
You can also avail of a student discount on tickets during the rest of the week.

Schuh offers a 10% discount both in stores and online for students, all you need is a valid student card.
