Grafton Street’s glammest store has just gotten some good news.
Previously Brown Thomas only had a basic wine licence, allowing them to serve wine in the restaurant. However after a rake of money invested in refurbishing the store, they have been awarded a full alcohol license.
According to The Independent, the court heard the store had been operating a wine license in its restaurant for the last 40 years and wanted to improve their customer experience in particular for partners and spouses who had to wait around while shopping was done.
Judge Groarke granted Brown Thomas an ordinary seven-day publican’s licence in the Circuit Licensing Court.
Imagine having a cheeky G&T in hand as you peruse the Hermes scarves you hope to be able to afford some day. Dreamy!
