Canalaphonic Festival Takes Over Rathmines And Portobello This Weekend

Tonight from 5pm – 9.30pm there will be bands playing on The Making Waves Stage atop a barge at Portobello Harbour, which will be the perfect place to have a few bevvies after work. Once things wrap up at Portobello Harbour, the music will continue at gigs and events in 22 different venues in Rathmines and Portobello.

There will be live music there from 1 – 9.30pm on Saturday as well, with a boutique market at Portobello Harbour kicking off at 11am, along with barge trips, and family fun activities.

You can check out the full timetable here, but we’re most excited for the 20 piece jazz swing band which will be playing at Mart (the old Rathmines fire station) at 7pm on Saturday night.

This looks like an absolutely amazing set of events utilising great spaces in our city, let’s hope we get the weather for it!
