Only two more days to go and we're close to wetting our pants with excitement for the new series of Love/Hate to air. With the weekend between us and it's airing on Sunday night, we've decided the only way to pass the time is a pub crawl through our favourite boozers that have been featured on Love/Hate. Read on to see our trail through the city...
The only way to kick this off is with a Captain Morgan's and fizzy orange. Cue impersonations of Tommy saying 'can you get me a fizzy orange'. Scores 100% on the shit boozer scale, but we couldn't leave it out.
The night is young yet and so you will still appreciate some live music at this point, head in to Whelan's and order Nidge's favourite... A vodka.
You've made it most the way up Camden Street, now you've got 5 minutes to compose yourself before you make it to Temple Bar where, to be honest, all hell will probably break loose. You're biggest challenge here is not avoiding a kneecapping, but avoiding the flocks of hens and stags who are about 8 hours of drinking ahead of you.
As this point your bladder might be feeling a bit full after the first few pubs, however gangster you're feeling do not take to urinating in public, especially on O'Connell Street... The pigs will get you. Instead head in to The Grand Central to relieve yourself and have a scoop.
Hop on the luas over to Jervis and make you're way to Slattery's on Capel Street, the best early house in the city. You'd better not order anything other than a pint of the black stuff in here.
Only a few steps away is The Boar's Head, always a winner when it comes to atmosphere with great live music sessions.
Finish off your night in the ultra funky Dice Bar. Always jammers at the weekends and serves up delicious craft beers, but to be honest at this point you probably won't really care.
The hangover will be mighty, but just remember that you hate Love/Hate to look forward to on Sunday night at 9.30pm.
