To commemorate Robin Williams, who sadly passed away a year ago today, Happenings Open Air Cinema will be screening the classic Mrs Doubtfire in Merrion Square this Thursday.
The movie is the perfect example of Williams’ comic genius, and follows his character Daniel, a loving if bumbling father, who tries to find a way back into the lives of his children and ex-wife (Sally Fields) after he loses a custody battle. Of course, he figures the best way to do this is by dressing in drag as a Scottish nanny… Hilarity ensues.
If you’re a fan of the comedy legend, there really is no sweeter way to celebrate his anniversary.
As per usual, the best of Dublin’s street food will be served at the event courtesy of Irish Village Markets. Tickets for the film are €5 and it will start at 7.30pm this Thursday at Merrion Square.
This event will be open to all ages, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Now, psych yourself up for Mrs Doubtfire by watching the trailer below.
