Commuters on O’Connell Street got a bit of a surprise this morning when walking by the GPO. This billboard attached to a lorry was parked right outside the General Post Office, where 99 years ago historic incidents occurred during the 1916 Rising.
Using a phrase recognised as a slogan of the irish Republican movement which translates to ‘Our day will come’, the billboard is creating quite a stir amongst the ‘Yes’ side of the Marriage Equality Referendum.
Paddy Power continuing his absolute disregard for the LGBT community with this massively distasteful advert. #MarRef pic.twitter.com/NftmRCr7aV

My tweet suggesting things can only get better was wrong, I’ve now seen the @paddypower #MarRef billboard, very bad taste to say the least!
