Comedian Al Porter revealed his need for anti-depressants on an RTÉ talk show last night.
Appearing on Cutting Edge presented by Brendan O’Connor, the young comic told his follow guests that he was hesitant about telling them something, before opening up about his need for medication in dealing with depression.
Porter spoke about the stigma that accompanies mental health in Ireland and how, even as an incredibly confident performer, he felt the need to ask friends to collect his prescription from the pharmacy.
