There was bad news for anyone travelling to Maynooth by train this morning as a vehicle damaged the Barberstown level crossing, causing 30-minute delays.
The driver was caught on camera damaging the barrier with a digger, which was being hauled behind the car, and driving away from the scene.
Iarnród Éireann later released the footage.
