People walking around Dublin this morningĀ are seeing redĀ post boxes pop up around the city, and are left scratching their heads in bemusement.Ā
The green post box has been an Irish symbol for nearly 100 years, whileĀ the red post box wasĀ alwaysĀ associated with The Royal Mail in the UK. And that link provides the clue to what’s happening…
We don’t have anotherĀ English invasion on the cards, itĀ is in fact a marketing stunt by An PostĀ to promote their 1916Ā Rising Exhibition in the GPO.Ā
A super piece of thought-provoking marketing that will have many up in arms before they realiseĀ the real reason…Ā
